Last month I wrote about my latest joy, my new hoop house. Today is one month from when I first planted vegetables in the hoop house. To celebrate, I took a short video that tells it better than words.
Here’s what it looked like a month ago:
Here’s what it looks like today! Click on the picture below to see a short video that shows the plants close up.
I’m conducting a test of the effectiveness of Epson Salts (magnesium) for peppers and tomatoes. Here’s what the treated and untreated peppers look like soon after treatment.
In the first picture, the one in the front is untreated. The two rear ones were treated with 1 Tbl. of Epson Salts. They are pretty comparable now, with the front and back one about the same size. The second picture is of two jalapeno pepper plants. The closest one was treated with Epson Salts. They are about the same size now. We’ll see what the future holds!

V…looking great so far…didn;t know about that treatment for veggies but have seen AMAZING results w/roses love,b
Love the hoop house! Similar to the one at the FB Middle School? What do mean when you say “treated” with Epson Salts. Dissolved and sprayed on the plant? Worked into the soil? Thanks for sharing. Ro
@Ro,
I TBL of salts worked into soil around each pepper plant and watered. Also, I dissolved I TBL in a gallon of water and sprayed tomato plants.
